Sunday sewing: here’s the finished #dresdenblock I started earlier. All the petals are joined by machine then hand appliquéd to the background.
The centre blue circle is hand appliquéd too.
I used templates and a tutorial by @southerncharmquilts for @quilterscandymembership and the fabrics are Tilda with some scraps from the stash.
I’ve been making quilts for over 40 years but this is the first time I’ve tried a Dresden plate. Crazy!!

A fabric pull for some Dresden plate practice. I’m going to be using a tutorial by @southerncharmquilts @meanderandmake for this one. Tilda fabrics for the Dresden on a background of neutrals from the stash. Centre turquoise is Ruby Star speckled.

Today was a bank holiday in the UK so of course it rained ...and rained ... and rained. I was warm and dry in my sewing room though 👍raiding my scraps and making nine patch blocks.
These colours had me thinking about Fruit Salad sweets while I was sewing.
Fabrics are a mix of #Hoffmanfabrics Bali pops, #KaffeFassett, a touch of #dashwoodstudio and some unknowns.
